Back to not enough Wednesdays in the week. Whew, what a busy morning! I met with a photographer to get a mug shot done and have an appointment this Friday. She has some ideas how Rose can be fully black and white and still keep me a mystery. I’m intrigued. 🙂
I mentioned in a previous post that I was rattled by an NPR (National Public Radio) article recently that talked about the health risks of sitting on your duff all day, in my case sitting on my duff all day writing. I recently came upon another bit of news saying people who sit too much often damage their kidneys. There’s no denying my ankles swell. *sigh* I imagine me waiting at the port for my ship to come in, and just as I see it my kidneys explode. With that happy image in mind, I signed up for a 6 week boot camp to kick aforementioned duff into shape. I don’t know where those 6+ hours a week will come from but it’s necessary. I’ve been writing steadily for 3 1/2 years and since that new information came my way I swear I hear my kidneys ticking. Believe it or not I’ve been trying to figure out a way to duct tape my laptop to my treadmill! Ha! And you think I’m kidding. 🙂 I know there’s such a thing as stationary bike-powered video games.
I got two new guest spots for November today, and sent both books off to a new reviewer. Both books showed up on the Book Cover Lover’s page.

I’m here at KC Kendricks’ site today as well. What a nice page with a bunch of really nice sister sites attached to it. Stop by, there’s a lot there. I do believe I’ll be a regular here.

I tried to tackle the mystery of Tagging today. Tags are like super search words that funnel people’s searches right to you. Here’s what Wikipedia has to say about metadata(tags). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tag_cloud
I found Amazon.com’s tag cloud and copy and pasted it to refer to. The larger and darker the word, the more popular it is in searches. Here’s a piece —
Yes I’m still smiling, but no time to delve too deeply now. I’ll post again soon. 🙂
There are studies showing that working at a computer while standing is very effficient. I would love to try that!
You know those xylophones the marching bands wear on their chests? How about using something like that for a desk? LOL 🙂
mug shot…so funny! 🙂
And I do work on the pc while standing most of the time.
I wish I were petite and could stand at my desk like you can. I need a kiosk, that’s what I need. 😉
